50 Portraits – Portrait# 26

My biggest challenge apart from reaching the magical figure of 50 in this project is to show what the person is like more than what they look like.  I have to figure it out as soon as they arrive while also trying to stay focused on their conversation.   There are no props that we’re using so it has to be an expression, a moment or a pull unique only to the person I’m photographing.  While I enjoy the challenge it gets my palms sweating.  I know I’m still a long way from where I need to be and people skills are the last thing I’m good at. But I’m learning my lessons, may be too slowly, but I get comfort in the fact that I’m getting there.

Camera settings were f4.5, 1/160, ISO 400
