When we have kids we take care of them and provide them every care possible. We do everything for their needs and comfort no matter how uncomfortable it may get for us the parents. We hope when we grow old our children will take care of us in the same way.  But not everyone’s lucky to have kids like that.  As we grow our parents need the same care and patience as we did when we were toddlers.

My grandfather above is going through a rough phase.  Despite the difficult times he’s brave enough to sport a smile.  His sense of humour is his greatest strength whatever the conditions.  Can we choose our best kid if we have more than one?  All are dear to us.

Camera settings were f4.5, 1/125, ISO 200 with flash on camera right.  In this shoot the biggest challenge again was not technical but to make the subject comfortable and get him involved in the process and get him out of the typical zone of sitting still for a photograph.  I made him look in several directions and in the end when he thought we were probably fooling around with him, I got this.
