Working Women of India 1.6

Next portrait in this tribute to our extra ordinary women is of Kamya, the founder of the Gift of Reading Project.  I made some portraits for her web campaign and so also asked her for a portrait of her for this series.  She’s an exceptional women at this young age.  Working for the betterment of under privileged little kids on her own is a remarkable feat.  I was impressed with the  facility she has put up on her own and has been handling the operations really well.  Her project Gift of Reading is still in its earlier stages but from what I saw after spending some time at the facility I can tell it’s going to leave a big impact on little kids who badly need such space.

I hope she achieves her dreams of bringing positive change in the lives of these underprivileged kids who otherwise are quite vulnerable on the streets.  We wish her all the best and congratulate her for doing what most of us only think about.
