I’m blessed with kids in the neighborhood who love being photographed. Today I’m sharing some of their portraits.
I have had a few images in mind using slower shutter speeds that I want to create using the spanning effect. I have few more similar types of shots in mind but I’ll share them later. When I saw these kids on our street with their bikes an idea came to mind and I got them involved. Fortunately they were as excited about this too. So I asked them to start biking from a point and go past me as I stood at a distance. After a lot of trial and error this one stood out for me.
This little doll has never talked to me even though her house is right in front of mine. She’s too shy. But fortunately that day when I asked her for a photo she politely stood where I wanted (still not talking to me) and waited for the photograph :). This one is from a different day.
When kids saw me taking photograph they started coming up with their own ideas. Both of these girls wanted to be photographed in Lord Krishna’s popular stance. None wanted to be photographed second so they both amicably stood together.
You can call these shots above as a commissioned photographs. I had arranged for a large print from father of these kids above who works at a printing shop. In exchange he didn’t accept my money and instead wanted me to create some portraits of his children so he could print them for his home too. May be he had seen the prints I distributed. I thought this was a good deal. I haven’t handed over the photographs yet but I hope they like them.
After what seemed like a never ending summer the rains are finally here. The only thing I don’t like about rain is when I have to get out for work. I enjoy rain listening to its sounds and bathing in it.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s photos. Be back soon with some more. Take care.
